MELT Method® is an innovative self-care practice.   MELT Method restores, renews and revitalizes your connective tissues, fascia and cellular fluids, allowing ease of movement and pain relief or pain prevention.  This groundbreaking self-healing practice complements other self-care and fitness practices. MELT uses rubber balls and a soft foam roller to create tolerable compression to support the nervous, hormone and immune systems throughout the entire body.

In three sessions Katharine can design a MELT map to address your specific issues. Examples of MELT maps include: Lower back pain relief, Plantar Fasciitis, Hip opener map, hip stabilization map, knee pain map , neck release map, neuroCore stability sequence, desk jockey map, holiday travel map and performance maps for tennis, golf, gymnastic, dance, aerial and aerobic activities like Nia. These individually prescribed MELT maps can be done on your own to get you back doing the activities and sports you love to do without the chronic pain.

Katharine Harts, MFA

Katharine Harts holds an MA in Creation Centered Spirituality, an MFA in Dance, and studied Life/Art process at Tamalpa Institute with dance pioneer Anna and Daria Halprin. As an ordained minister with 20 years of full time ministry she has extensive training and experience facilitating body-based spiritual direction.  In addition to running her own business, Ms. Harts currently teaches Aerial Yoga, Aerial Hammock Dance, Conditioning for Ballet Dancers, and Melt Method Classes at Still and Moving Center, Power Yoga Hawaii and Queen Emma Ballet.

I'm not the kind of person who knew how to sense their body. Things like dancing were beyond my reach and the concept of “body sense” made no sense to me until I started MELT. MELT taught me how to interpret what my body was saying to me - what muscle is tight? How is that affecting the other structures adjacent to it and how can I position my body to improve it? MELT has made a big difference for me. I am better able to sense my body. Katharine is a wonderful teacher and I have learned so much from her.
