MELT is a treatment system that stimulates the amazing healing power of the body’s connective tissue, reduce chronic pain and relieves aches and stiffness. MELT is for anyone who wants to address common issues such as sleep difficulties, digestive problems, midday fatigue, weight gain and overall performance.

With all the latest research in connective tissue we utilize a soft foam roller and soft balls to release stuck stress in the body and then rebuild with strength building to find ease and freedom in movement. These classes are designed specifically for conditioning and releasing habitual patterns that cause stress, impede flexibility and alignment.  This all equals training more efficiently and without endless repetition of strength building exercises.

Katharine Harts, MFA

Katharine Harts holds an MA in Creation Centered Spirituality, an MFA in Dance, and studied Life/Art process at Tamalpa Institute with dance pioneer Anna and Daria Halprin. As an ordained minister with 20 years of full time ministry she has extensive training and experience facilitating body-based spiritual direction.  In addition to running her own business, Ms. Harts currently teaches Aerial Yoga, Aerial Hammock Dance, Conditioning for Ballet Dancers, and Melt Method Classes at Still and Moving Center, Power Yoga Hawaii and Queen Emma Ballet.

I spend much of my time at a desk and computer and for years I have experienced pain and soreness in my shoulders, neck and upper body. Taking MELT classes with Katharine has really alleviated my pain and helped me to incorporate simple techniques for pain and stress relief into my daily routine.

- Colleen Cacy, Attorney at Law, Tucson

I joined the MELT class and discovered a whole new way of working with IT (iliotibial) band pain and tightness in the hips. As a dancer/choreographer with scoliosis and leg-length discrepancy, I am used to modifying and working with my imbalances, but I was surprised to find that the MELT classes brought new awareness and changes in connective tissue. The MELT roller is gentle on the body, as opposed to a hard foam roller that I was using, and the combination of hydrating the upper and lower body with use of breath is really effective. Thank you to Katharine Harts for the excellent instruction and personal attention.
